THE DELLTONES formed in 1958, a doo-wop quartet 🌟

Formed in 1958 in Sydney, The Delltones are a legendary vocal doo-wop group known for their harmonious quartet sound. With hit singles like “Get a Job”, “Hangin 5”, and “Come a Little Bit Closer”, they quickly became a household name in Australia. Tragedy struck in 1962 when member Noel Widerberg passed away in a car accident, but the group continued to make music.

Despite the loss of Widerberg, Pee Wee Wilson, known for his distinctive bass voice, reformed the group and they transitioned into a fully instrumental harmony group. Over the next five decades, they toured extensively both in Australia and internationally, delighting fans with their timeless sound.

After a long and successful career, Pee Wee Wilson eventually retired in 2016. However, in 2017, the group reunited once again as “A Tribute to the Delltones”. Lead guitarist and vocalist Woody Finlayson, along with Andre Els from the renowned harmony group Yakaty Yak, joined forces with other talented musicians to keep the Delltones’ legacy alive.

Today, the group is back on tour with their new lineup, captivating audiences with the same classic vocals, songs, and harmonies that made The Delltones famous.
