Defending the Wild: A Night Celebrating Dingoes

Club Evans was honoured to host Defend the Wild for a powerful and thought-provoking evening focused on one of Australia’s most iconic native animals – the dingo. The event brought together community members for an important conversation about wildlife conservation, cultural significance, and sustainable land management.

Guests enjoyed a double screening of two compelling films: Moort: Calling Dingo Back to Country and Wooleen: Utilising Dingoes as a Management Tool. These documentaries explored the cultural, spiritual and ecological significance of dingoes, highlighting their essential role in healthy landscapes and sustainable land management practices across Australia.

Panel Discussion and Community Engagement

Following the screenings, attendees participated in an insightful panel discussion and audience Q&A session. Important conversations were shared about the role of dingoes in First Nations culture, biodiversity, conservation, and practical land management outcomes. The respectful and engaging discussion allowed different perspectives to be heard and explored.
