Despite facing challenges like rain and unexpected power outages, a meaningful and modified Remembrance Day ceremony was successfully held at Evans Head RSL. The event was organized by the Evans Head RSL Sub Branch, who worked hard to ensure that we could pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of our service members.
A special thank you goes out to the students from Evans River K-12 Community School for their proud representation and for reminding us of the importance of remembrance across all generations. We are grateful for the participation of Cr Hayes and Cr Murray from Richmond Valley Council as well.
The strong sense of community spirit was evident as attendees came together to honor and remember those who served. Events like these serve as a powerful reminder of the unity and resilience within our community. Thank you to everyone who participated in this important ceremony at Evans Head RSL.
